Holzhafen

Modern architecture and a relaxed ambiance by the River Elbe provide the backdrop for the Art & Culture Theme Island. On all three days visitors are invited to admire driftwood sculptures, browse and buy high quality design and crafts at the DESIGNgift market. The city’s Open Monument event (9 and 10 September) takes place on the same weekend as the Hamburg Cruise Days, and the Hamburg Harbour Museum will be offering activities and collecting donations for the conservation of the Kampnagel cranes at the Holzhafen.

This year, the MASH Steakhouse will be serving culinary delicacies and there will be live music and a poetry slam. A special highlight is Hamburg’s popular Silent Disco, where visitors put on headphones, choose between two music channels and enjoy the music and the view – either dancing or sitting down.
