The Programme

Between 17 and 19 August 2012, the Hamburg Cruise Days will be offering a great programme that is bound to have the hearts of all cruise fans beating faster. The 2012 event is set to be even bigger and better than previous years, with the event spreading out to include the waterfront and city and bringing that magical cruise feeling off the ships and on to land. A variety of themed islands along the waterfront between the two cruise terminals in the HafenCity and Altona will allow visitors to experience the world of cruising.

Highlights on the water include the Hamburg Cruise Night on Friday evening with a fleet of party ships on the Elbe and the giant Hamburg Cruise Days Parade on Saturday evening: five giant cruise ships will sail back down the River Elbe accompanied by a fleet of smaller vessels.

As in previous years, the Hamburg Cruise Days 2012 will be plunged into a magical blue light by lighting artist Michael Batz. The “Light Up” for the Blue Port starts approximately one week before the Hamburg Cruise Days kick off. A detailed programme for the Hamburg Cruise Days will be published here in time for the event.
