As the licensor of the Hamburg Cruise Days, Hamburg Tourismus GmbH is continuously committed to the digital accessibility of its online offerings and pursues the goal of making the website hhtps://www.hamburgcruisedays.de accessible and inclusive in accordance with legal requirements and the needs of all user groups.

To support barrier-free use, the ‘AccessGo ’ tool (www.accessgo.de) from DGfB Deutsche Gesellschaft für Barrierefreiheit mbH was integrated, which offers various visual and functional customisation options, among other things.

With this tool, users can customise the website to suit individual restrictions or preferences.

The settings can be accessed via the AccessGO icon or alternatively via the key combination ‘ALT + 1’. All functions can also be controlled using the keyboard.

This makes it possible to customise the following aspects, among others:

HOW ACCESSIBLE IS THE OFFER?

The assessment is based on a self-assessment using the AccessGO accessibility tool. Based on this review, the website is partially accessible with the aforementioned requirements.

In detail, the following points are not fully compatible with the accessibility regulations that apply to us:

  • Barrier: Some buttons are blank or have no descriptive text.
  • Barrier: Some form fields do not have correctly assigned text labelling.
  • Barrier: Some navigation elements of sliders contain too little contrast.
  • Barrier: Some ALT tags are assigned twice.
  • Barrier: On some websites, the correct semantic order of HTML headings (e.g. H1-H6) is currently not fully guaranteed. This particularly affects deeper pages and content outside the main navigation. The implementation of technical optimisation for pages that can be accessed directly from the navigation is currently being prioritised. The remaining pages will be successively optimised as part of further technical developments.
  • Barrier: The website is not yet available in plain language.

We are currently planning to implement the removal of these barriers.
