When do the events at Hamburg Cruise Days take place?

On Friday 8 September: 14:00 – 23:00  Hafencity, Holzhafen, 14:00 – 24:00  all other sites
On Saturday 9 September 11:00 – 24:00
On Sunday 10 September    11:00 – 20:00

Which ships are coming, where will they be berthed and when are they leaving?

Eleven cruise ships are expected to attend the Hamburg Cruise Days, of which six will be taking part in the Grand Parade (indicated with a P).

When does the Grand Hamburg Cruise Days Parade take place?

 (PLEASE NOTE: The starting time for the Grand Parade is correct, even though the arrival and departure times of individual ships may seem to indicate otherwise. The time differences are due to the fact that these giant liners need time and space to get into position.)

 

Which cruise ships will be sailing in the Grand Parade?

These six liners are taking place and will be sailing down the Elbe from HafenCity in this order:
AIDAprima, Norwegian Jade, Europa 2, Mein Schiff 3, Europa, MSC Preziosa

When are the firework displays?

The Silversea Cruises Fireworks take place on Friday, 8 September at 22:15. The cruise ship Silver Wind will be moored at Überseebrücke and the fireworks will be launched from the south bank of the river.
On Saturday at the Grand Parade
each ship will be welcomed individually with fireworks.

Is there a highlight on Sunday, 10 September?

At 16:00, the river cruiser MS Katharina von Bora will be offering a harbour cruise.

When does Blue Port start?

Blue Port Hamburg starts on 1 September 2017 with the Light-up event. It finishes with the Hamburg Cruise Days on Sunday 10 September 2017. For more information about Blue Port Hamburg,  click  here >>


Where can I book escort cruises?

There is a coach drop-off and parking point for passengers here:

Heiligengeistfeld car park, entrance A, access from Budapester Straße.

Road closures:         

As a rule, roads will be closed from 30 minutes before the event starts until 30 minutes after the end of the event (see event times). For details of the individual road closures, click here>>

How to get to the event on public transport:

U-Bahn trains: Landungsbrücken, Baumwall (both U3), Meßberg (U1), Überseequartier (U4)

S-Bahn trains: Königstraße, for Cruise Center Altona and Holzhafen (S1, S3), Landungsbrücken (S1, S2, S3) and Stadthausbrücke (S1 and S3)

Bus: 111 (Altona – HafenCity), 6 (from St. Pauli U-Bahn station)

A tip for when you’re leaving: As many visitors are expected to come to the event of Saturday evening, we recommend using the train stations Stadthausbrücke (S1 and S3), Meßberg (U1) and Überseequartier (U4) to get to central station, and bus no. 6 (from St. Pauli U-Bahn station)

There are no parking spaces for cars at the event

There are 15 Theme Islands that focus on different aspects of cruising:
